There’s a bit of a Vegas theme going on, on today’s Friday List. ), but since I’ve been on a great romance streak lately, I think I’m going to switch it up for the weekend. Or maybe Steadfast by Sarina Bowen (also down below). Robyn: Right now I’m reading The Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop. *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* She was homeless in her teen years and she met him then – they were both runaways and he took care of her and they fell in love ….there was some gang related stuff as well I believe, anyway there were going to get on their feet together and move in a place *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* *spoiler alert* but he didn’t show when they were supposed to meet to run. This is my own confession, and what I LOVE about confessions is not only the feedback from fellow readers that can relate, but getting some awesome insight from authors about that very confession. I just finished 180 Seconds by Jessica Park and it was one of the best books I have read this year. Mercedes by Stephen King since that’s all the rage right now with the new TV series. The main character worked in a hospital er and a homeless man comes in beaten and unresponsive , she soon realizes it’s her first love from when she was younger. I confessed on Facebook: Maryse: Confession: Whenever a beautiful dress is described in a book (especially wedding dresses), I google the intricate details given (material, color etc…) so I can try and “see it”… ) Kathy: Maryse, this was my first book by Jessica Park and I am ashamed to say I have never read Flat Out Love which has been on my Kindle for a couple of years! “I’m a cuddling monster,” confessed CGOW Candice Michelle when we asked her what turns her on. “I love kisses on my neck as well as the rest of me.” So what kind of guy does it take to get in her cuddly embrace? Also confidence – it separates the boys from the men.I also love sexy obliques and a great smite.” Candice also told us she’s a tomboy, having played varsity basketball in high school. My heart needs something gritty but sweet, and that sounds like exactly it. She wrote The Written in Red series, which is much beloved by lots of folks here. I can’t wait to read all the books to see what happens to this girl as she, grows into an adult. Worth the Fall and the others in this series have been wonderful. Buuuuut he doesn’t show and she learns as an adult it’s bc he didn’t want to hold her back so the bulk of the book is told in the past and then the other is told in the present as they fall in love all over again ! Not only are Allison and Esben’s evolution of their relationship so special to read but also the secondary characters of her Adopted Dad Simon and her best friend Steffi make the reader smile and cry. I wasn’t sure I would like it when I started, because it’s not your typical novel, more of a document/file with interviews, emails, maps, etc. Amy: Have I said lately how much I love Tarryn Fisher’s writing? As in love it so much I want to fold it up in neat little square and swallow it (those who read Mud Vein will get that ). Anywho’s, why did I take so long to start this glorious series?? I just love it when I find a treasure trove of goodness!! Esben is one of the best book boyfriends that I have read. It definitely told a story that pulled me in from the start and I couldn’t put it down.
